Create and Justify a Planned Animation (P5, P6)
Backplates:
This backplate is used when my Zombie gets off at Leicester Square station this not only helps to mov the narrative along but also tells the audience where to go and the location for the BrainGoo zombie fest march and therefore meets the brief requirements.
This backplate is used when my zombie is walking past the food trucks this shows some of the options there are at the zombie fest march which can excite my audience.
This backplate is used at the beginning of my animation as it sets the scene and the narrative this is where my zombie will awake from the grave and see the zombie poster.
This backplate is used in order to fit within my brief requirements as it shows that there will be a movie marathon in a cinema in Leicester square. This backplate will be used when my zombie walks past the cinema in the zombie march.
Music for my animation:
https://freetouse.com/music/search/spiring-city-life
I have decided to use this piece of music for my animation because I felt that the music perfectly matched the happiness the zombie feels as he sees the zombie march and as he travels into London as it is very bubbly and upbeat. The sound also adds a comedic effect as it contradicts the stereotypical scariness of the zombie as the sound is happy and upbeat.
Evidence of me setting up:
How the material i've used follows the storyboard:
All of the materials i've used for example, the characters, backplates, sounds and animation styles all follow my storyboard. The characters I have used are stick bots and this is what I drew in my storyboard. I drew them as characters originally and then added zombie features to it for example, piece of brain sticking out. In different scenes of my animation I changed the facial expressions where i would swap out a shocked face to a happy face which would match the scene. The backplates I used follow exactly as my storyboard shows which i found the images on google and created the poster on photoshop. I have also included food trucks as well as the cinema which you will be able to find in Leicester Square and as a result meets the brief requirements. I also include a recording of the train moving to show the easy access to the zombie march as well as it helping to move the narrative along this wasn't in my storyboard it was added later. Also, the voiceovers in all of my animation follow my storyboard as I have used human voices and zombie ones too, I have included zombie groans and the voiceover at the end.
I am tracking my progress in line with my Gantt chart which I have created, I have made a key on the right of my Gantt chart the tasks that I have created are blocked out in red and the tasks that I have yet to complete is in purple. By creating this key I can easily identify and determine which tasks are completed and which ones i need to complete in order to meet my deadlines. I am completing my tasks efficiently and in good time in order to meet my deadlines and milestones.

Log Sheet:
Offline edit:
The offline edit is the first draft of the animation, these show where changes will need to be made in order to make the animation look cohesive as well as entertaining for my audience. When I uploaded my photos final cut pro set the duration for each of my shots to be very long and the same length of time which is far too long for a stop motion advert and was over 10 minutes long. Due to the photo's durations being so long I will need to change the duration per frame to ensure the length of my whole animation is a minute or just over. The offline edit fits within the storyboard I drew as I have kept all the backplates the same as he background. In the later versions I added later I will add music and sound effects so that the animation flows perfectly and I will also add transitions and effects to make my animation more engaging for my audience. My offline edit is different to my story board as I have made subtle changes in order for the narrative to flow for example I have changed the movement of my main character compared to storyboard as
Version 1:
This is the first proper version of my animation this is where I have deleted footage that I don't need as I began to create the the animation and had to restart so I had to delete the footage at the beginning of the animation. I then used the Chroma Keyer on Final Cut Pro and added in my backgrounds to change my blue screen to the backplates. In this version I also changed the duration of my shots in order for the stop motion to flow and look cohesive.
Version 2:
In this version, I have found royalty free music this ensures that no music I have used isn't copyrighted. The music I have used matches the narrative of the animation. I have also added in transitions this allows the narrative of the animation to flow better when the scenes change to make the animation more engaging for the audience. Also I added some effects to make my backplates brighter to make the animation look more high quality.
Version 3 (Final Version):
This is my final version, this is where I added the voice recording of the last scene of my animation where the narrator goes through the poster inviting the audience and stating all the details about the zombie fest march. In this version I have also added sound effects of zombie noise to bring the character to life and fit within the zombie stereotype.
